My career has been about solving particularly difficult marketing and communications problems: introducing products into very challenging markets, getting the attention of highly selective targets, generating awareness, traffic and sales in extremely competitive environments. As a result, I have learned how to use many communications tools to find effective solutions to corporate, brand and product advertising, sales promotion, direct marketing, merchandising, recruitment, and the Web.
My radio work includes Mental Minutes® radio theater, commercial and news radio. In 1988 I wrote and produced The American Music Hour, China’s first Western pop music radio show. I’ve been a reporter, producer and newsroom instructor at KPFA 94.1 FM. Additionally, I write essays, short stories and poetry.
My strengths include strategic and tactical planning, creative media and non-media solutions, team building and management, new business, and copywriting. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Southern California.
