I continue to be faced with particularly difficult marketing and communications problems: introducing products into very challenging markets, getting the attention of highly selective targets, generating awareness, traffic and sales in extremely competitive environments. As a result, I’ve learned to create incisive campaign and content strategies that leverage the best media and non-media tools. They include corporate, brand and product advertising, social, sales promotion, direct marketing, merchandising, recruitment, and driving web traffic.
My strengths are strategic and tactical planning, creative media and non-media solutions, team building and management, new business, and copywriting.
Personal work includes Mental Minutes® radio theater, commercial and news radio. In 1988 I wrote and produced The American Music Hour, China’s first Western pop music radio show. I’ve been a reporter, producer and newsroom instructor at KPFA 94.1 FM. Additionally, I write essays, short stories, songs and poetry. Also practice and teach martial arts and yoga.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Southern California.
